Marion Bergin
Marion Bergin is a director whose work lies at the intersection of art, fashion, and documentary. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a BA Hons in History of Art and Italian, she has started her career as a fashion designer and now weaves visual stories as she designed her collections. Her films are known for their poetic tone and beauty, inviting viewers to feel, and reconnect in a fast-moving world.
At the heart of her practice is a fascination with people—their rituals, their environments, their quiet resilience. Marion’s lens seeks out moments of tenderness and truth, revealing beauty not just in form, but in the emotional texture of human experience. She works fluidly across digital and analogue formats, weaving sound, stillness, and story into immersive, sensory narratives.
Her last advertising campaign was crafted with the team at Forsman and Bodenfors Dublin, a moving piece for the charity Women’s Aid. Her most recent film work includes an installation film on Dublin’s sea swimming community, created in collaboration with Robert Bourke Architects and exhibited at Pier Seven for the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. Her short film Saoirse will have its first public premiere on a 40 foot screen on the front lawn of the Irish Museum of Modern Art in July.
Marion has earned multiple accolades, including a Gold Shark at the Kinsale Shark Awards for her breakout short Saoirse, and three shortlistings at the Cannes Young Director Awards.
